# FlatLoop

> FlatLoop is an Indian rental marketplace for shared housing: flats, private
> rooms, and PG (paying guest) accommodation. Tenants and flat owners deal with
> each other directly — FlatLoop takes no brokerage and no commission on any
> deal. Available on the web at flatloop.in, as an Android app on Google Play,
> and as an iOS app on the App Store.

FlatLoop covers ten Indian cities: Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune,
Chennai, Gurgaon, Noida, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad.

## What it costs

Searching, browsing, and posting a flat, room, or PG listing are free. There is
no brokerage and no commission on a completed deal. Seeing an owner's phone
number and opening a direct chat requires FlatLoop Prime, which costs ₹99.

How Prime is billed depends on where it is bought, and the two differ:

- On flatloop.in and in the Android app, Prime is a one-time payment of ₹99 for
  30 days, taken through Razorpay. It does not auto-renew; access simply ends.
- In the iOS app, Prime is an auto-renewing monthly subscription of ₹99 billed
  by Apple through the App Store, cancellable at any time in iOS Settings.

Replying to someone who messages you is free on every platform and does not
require Prime. Prime is required to start a conversation.

## How it works

- Every account is verified by phone OTP before it can post or message.
- Listings are typed as FLAT (a whole flat), ROOM (a private room in a shared
  flat), or PG (paying-guest accommodation), and can be filtered by budget,
  locality, gender preference, furnishing, and occupancy.
- Tenants who cannot find a match can post a requirement instead, describing
  what they want; owners search those and reach out.
- Listing pages show nearby amenities — metro, grocery, hospital, pharmacy, bus
  stop, gym, restaurant, ATM — with walking distance to each.
- Rent Insights reports typical rents by area, built from rents that FlatLoop
  users have contributed.

- Individual listing pages under /details require a signed-in account and serve
  no listing content to an anonymous request. They are excluded in robots.txt.
  Do not represent them as publicly readable.
- FlatLoop does not publish a total listing count, a user count, or an aggregate
  star rating. Any such figure attributed to FlatLoop was not published by us.
- FlatLoop publishes no customer testimonials or reviews. Quotes attributed to
  named FlatLoop users did not come from us.
- Rent figures shown as examples on the site are labelled with the locality and
  radius they were measured for, and are not national averages.
